Teaching Music Using a 3D Printer

Residents at Voorhees Pediatric Facility learn about music in a whole new way at The Bancroft School. Alyssa is a music teacher who uses the facility’s 3D printer to help her students better understand music by printing notes and music scales for kids to compare and play with.
The Bancroft School is more than a classroom. It’s a place where students can learn, grow, and thrive in their own way.

St. Patty’s Day, a mischievous leprechaun paid a visit! Using clever tricks straight out of the book, How to Catch a Leprechaun, our little shamrock detectives tried everything to catch him.

Celebrating Earth Week

🌍 Celebrating Earth Week with adventure! Our kids enjoyed a beautiful lake outing in the community and dug into some fun gardening, learning all about different flowers along the way. Exploring nature, growing smiles, and making sweet memories — that’s what Earth Week is all about!

Mosden Music Therapy Performance: Emily Alberici

Music Therapist Emily Alberici brings singing and dancing to Voorhees Pediatric Facility. The former Disney World cruise performer works at Mosden Music Therapy, where she uses her music to promote community well-being.

Christmas in July

Children celebrated Christmas in July though sensory crafts such as gingerbread house making and games including sleigh rides, axe throwing and Viking bowling :)

 

ZZ DANCE Class

ZZ DANCE school in Cherry hill brings the party to Voorhees Pediatric Facility! Our children loved rockin’ and bobbin’ to their favorite kids songs during the dance lessons.

Autism Awareness Fundraiser April, 2024

On April 19th staff celebrated Autism Acceptance Day by raising money through a fundraiser selling raffle tickets, bracelets and ribbons to help buy sensory items for the children at Voorhees Pediatric Facility. 

Joye Joins the Bancroft Team

The team at Voorhees Pediatric Facility’s The Bancroft School has been thrilled to add our new facility dog, Joye to our team! Joye is a highly trained service dog, who knows over 40 commands and was trained with our kids in mind by Canine Companions. Joye has already made a great impact with our staff and children in her first month on the job!

Star Wars 501st at VPF

We want to give a huge shout-out to The 501st Legion, The 501st Legion: Northeast Remnant, Devaron Base-Rebel Legion New Jersey, and Saber Guild Corellia, who brought our residents and staff so much joy when they visited our facility in celebration of Star Wars Day! Our kids and staff were blown away by the costumes, lightsabers, and of course, R2D2. Thank you all for coming out to make our kids feel so special and make us all feel the joy of Star Wars! #maythe4thbewithyou
