VPF’s Approach to Nursing
Voorhees Pediatric Facility’s approach to nursing care prioritizes being involved in every aspect of your child’s life. The Department of Nursing at VPF provides both holistic and palliative care to children with the help of our multidisciplinary team.
We also honor our nurses through the DAISY Award, in which patients, family members, other nurses, and staff members can nominate an individual for recognition for their extraordinary and compassionate care. Additionally, we celebrate our CNAS through the BEE Award to highlight how important team effort is at VPF.
Holistic Palliative Care
At VPF, we offer more than just exceptional medical care. Our nurses are experienced in providing holistic and palliative care. That means our staff shows up for and supports your child and family emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Our nurses work with our multidisciplinary team members, sharing their insights based on their knowledge and experiences with our residents.
We also help children manage their time by getting them ready if they attend school at The Bancroft School or helping them prepare for group therapy. The full collaboration among team members at VPF is what helps us provide the best care possible to your child.
