Your Care Team
The backbone of our exceptional medical services is our seven-person care team, working in harmony with parents to ensure each child’s unique needs are met. This team consists of pediatric providers available on-site five days a week and on call 24/7, care coordinators who maintain the medical home environment, and a scheduler and transportation coordinator who ensures all appointments and diagnostic procedures are efficiently arranged.
At VPF, it’s a collaborative effort designed to offer not just medical services, but a place where your child’s health and well-being are the top priority.
Complex Primary Pediatric Care
With VPF’s medical services department, our primary goal is to provide unparalleled medical care while fostering an environment of well-being for each child. We acknowledge that a child’s stay with us doesn’t have to be a permanent situation for their adolescence, although it’s important to note we do have children in our program from birth to twenty-one years of age.
Our team, including experienced APNs and pediatricians, is skilled in training families and facilitating discharge plans that are tailored to each family’s needs and timeline. We aim to empower you with the tools and knowledge you need to eventually bring your child home, should circumstances allow for it.
What sets us apart is our integrative approach to care. The medical services department isn’t an isolated team, instead, they work collaboratively with all departments at VPF, including nursing, respiratory therapy, The Bancroft School, and our in-house psychologists. Our interconnected teamwork ensures that we maintain a holistic view of each child’s health, enriching their lives and contributing to their long-term wellness. It’s all part of our commitment to delivering complex primary pediatric care that addresses the needs of the whole child.

In-House Specialty Clinics
When it comes to specialized medical consultations, there's no need to venture off-site. We offer an array of in-house specialty clinics covering:
- Neurology

- Wound Care
Additionally, our Tone-Ortho-Movement Clinic is particularly unique, featuring a dedicated Rehabilitation Physician and specialized Physical Therapists. These clinics exemplify our holistic approach, creating an environment where experts and parents collaborate for the best outcomes for each child.
On-Site Lab Services
Our commitment to rapid and accurate diagnosis is demonstrated through our on-site lab and X-ray services. Thanks to these on-site services, we can expedite the process of diagnosis and treatment. Doing so cuts down the waiting time for lab results and thus ensures quicker interventions.
